Spaghetti with meatsauce

Spaghetti comes in many shapes in sizes . My favorite method of making spaghetti is to add ground beef & hot sausage.

Ingredients

1 jar (45 ounces) Red Sauce

1 can (32 ounces) Tomato Sauce

1 can (32 ounces) Diced Tomatos

1 can (12 ounces) tomato sauce

1 lb ground beef browned

1 lb hot sausage browned

1/2 onion chopped fine

1/2 green pepper chopped

Spaghetti comes in many shapes in sizes . My favorite method of making spaghetti is to add ground beef & hot sausage.

Ingredients

1 jar (45 ounces) Red Sauce

1 can (32 ounces) Tomato Sauce

1 can (32 ounces) Diced Tomatos

1 can (12 ounces) tomato sauce

1 lb ground beef browned

1 lb hot sausage browned

1/2 onion chopped fine

1/2 green pepper chopped fine

2 cloves garlic

1/4 cup brown sugar

mushrooms 

Spices to taste:

oregano

basil



Simmer in a large pot for 2 -3 hours before serving over cooked spaghetti. Add more liquid if it gets to thick.

 Nothing better on a cold day then a pot of chili.


Ingredients:

1 pound ground beef

1 cup chopped onion

1 clove garlic minced

3/4 cup chopped greeen pepper

1 16 oz can diced tomatoes

1 16 oz can tomato sauce

1 16 ounce can red kidney beans

2 tsp chili powder

1/2 tsp dried basil


In large skillet cook the ground beef, onion, garlic and pepper. In a la

In large skillet cook the ground beef, onion, garlic and pepper. In a large pot add remaining ingredients. Once meat is browned and onion soft add to the sauce mixture. Bring to a boil and simmer for a few hours. Serve with shredded cheese. 


This recipe can easily be adjusted to feed more people by adding 2 lbs ground beef and more tomato sauce. Recipe is also good with a variety of beans such as garbanzo beans, chickpeas and pinto beans. 


Shepherds Pie

Shepherd's Pie is a favorite in many households. 


Ingredients

4-5 potatoes peeled & boiled

1 lb ground beef

1 can cream of mushroom soup

1/2 can of milk

1 can of corn or peas

1 egg

2 tablespoons butter

1/4 cup milk

6 ounces chedder cheese grated


Directions:

Peel & boil potatoes for 40 minutes until soft. Drain water from the potatoes. Add butter, 1/4

1 egg

2 tablespoons butter

1/4 cup milk

6 ounces chedder cheese grated


Directions:

Peel & boil potatoes for 40 minutes until soft. Drain water from the potatoes. Add butter, 1/4 cup milk & egg to hot potatoes. Mash the potatoes until smooth. Set aside. 

In a frying pan brown the ground beef. Add the can of cream of mushroom soup and 1/2 can of milk. Stir until well mixed. Cook until bubbling. 

In a 3 quart or larger baking pan layer the meat on the bottom of the pan. Layer the can of drained corn or peas over the meat. Next add the mashed potatoes and top with shredded cheddar cheese. 

Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes

MJ's Swedish Meatballs

A quick easily meal, ready in 30 minutes. 


Ingredients: 

Cooked rice for 4 people

1 pound ground beef

2 tablespoons worcester sauce

1 can cream of mushroom soup

1/2 can of milk (use soup can to measure)


Cook rice to preferred taste.

My Family Favorite Recipe


Ingredients:

3 lbs ground beef

1/3 cup chopped onion

1 1/2 cup italian bread crumbs

or oatmeal

1 tbsp salt

1/4 tsp pepper

1 1/2 tsp worcester sauce

3 eggs

3/4 cup milk


Preheat oven to 400 degrees

Mix all ingredients in large bowl. Use a spoon to shape meat into balls and place on a cookie sheet. Bake 5-7 minutes.

Ingredients:

3 lbs ground beef

1/3 cup chopped onion

1 1/2 cup italian bread crumbs

or oatmeal

1 tbsp salt

1/4 tsp pepper

1 1/2 tsp worcester sauce

3 eggs

3/4 cup milk


Preheat oven to 400 degrees

Mix all ingredients in large bowl. Use a spoon to shape meat into balls and place on a cookie sheet. Bake 5-7 minutes. 

Meatballs can be made ahead of time and frozen or eat half the meatball and freeze the rest.

Ingredients:

1 pound ground beef

2 eggs

1/2 medium onion diced

3/4 cup italian bread crumbs

1/2  cup ketchup, divided

2 tblsp worcester sauce, divided

Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

Ingredients:

1 pound ground beef

2 eggs

1/2 medium onion diced

3/4 cup italian bread crumbs

1/2  cup ketchup, divided

2 tblsp worcester sauce, divided

salt

pepper


Preheat oven to 375 degrees. 

In a large bowl break up the ground beef into small pieces. Shake in salt and pepper to taste.  Add the diced onion to the beef. Next squirt in 1/4 cup ketchup, and 1 tablespoon worcester sauce. 

In a small bowl, lightly beat two eggs and mix into ground beef mixture. Pour in italian bread crumbs and mix thoroughly. 

Compress mixture into a big ball. 

Place the meatloaf into a small rectangular loaf pan. (Used to make bread.)

Put the meatloaf into the oven on 375 degrees for 15 minutes. 

In a separate small bowl mix 1/4 cup ketchup and 1 tablspoon worcester sauce. 

After meatloaf has cooked 15 minutes baste the top of the meatloaf with ketchup mix. Cook for another 45 minutes. For a total of 60 minutes cooking time.

1 pound ground beef

8 oz. can tomato sauce

1 package taco seasoning

tortillas (corn or flour)

lettuce

1 tomato diced

1 small onion sliced

Stir meat, seasoning and tomato sauce until thoroughly and hot. Put the mixture into a serving bowl ready to eat.   Use a tortilla of your choice. Place the ground beef on the bottom, layer with cheese, onion. lettuce, diced tomato and salsa. Enjoy!

Ingredients:

1 pound ground beef

1 packet taco seasoning

6 oz can tomato sauce

1 can (15 oz) refried beans

1 can (10 oz) enchilda sauce

1/4 cup diced tomatoes

1 1/2 cup shredded Colby Jack cheese

8 flour tortillas, taco size

1 tblsp vegetable oil


Directions: 

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. In a large skiller, brown ground beef. O

1 pound ground beef

1/4 cup diced tomatoes

1 1/2 cup shredded Colby Jack cheese

Directions: 

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. In a large skiller, brown ground beef. Once cooked add taco seasoning and tomato sauce. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer until thick. 

In a large skillet pour half of the oil into the pan. Heat over medium-high heat. Add tortillas and cook for 4-5 miutes, flipping frequently, until crisp. 

Spread about 1/4 cup of beans evenly over the bottom of each tortilla. Top with taco meat. Place another tortilla over the top of the meat. Spread about 2 tblsp of enchilada sauce evenly over the tortilla. Divide diced tomatoes over the top of the tortillas and sprinkle with cheese. 

Place on a baking sheet and bake for 8-10 minutes until the cheese is melted and everything is hot. Slice and serve.

A simple easy recipe that is great to feed a crowd. 


Ingredients:

1 pound of ground beef

1 small onion diced

1 clove garlic diced

Pasta - (elbow, small shells or bowties)

1 jar of tomato pasta sauce

1 32 oz can tomato sauce

1 red bell pepper diced

1 tblsp worcestersauce

1 cup water

1 1/2 cup shredded cheese


Brown the ground beef in a large pot or dut

A simple easy recipe that is great to feed a crowd. 


Ingredients:

1 pound of ground beef

1 small onion diced

1 clove garlic diced

1 tblsp worcestersauce

1 cup water

1 1/2 cup shredded cheese


Brown the ground beef in a large pot or dutch oven. Add the onion, garlic, worcester sauce and pepper stirring until they are soft and hot.

Next add tomato pasta sauce and tomato sauce. Cover and let simmer 15 minutes. Add 1 1/4 cup pasta and simmer until pasta is tender.Remove from heat and add shredded cheese to taste.

Ingredients:

1 pound of ground beef

1 small head of cabbage shredded

3 tablespoons butter

6 slices of bacon

1/2 cup chopped onion

1 cup uncooked rice

1 tsp salt

1 15 oz can of spaghetti sauce

3 cups water

1 8oz can mushrooms


Preheat oven to 350

Preheat oven to 350 

Melt the butter andspread into a 12 cup casserole . Shred the  cabbage and spread half  evenly over the bottom of the pan.

Saute bacon, onion, and rice until onion and rice is slightly browned. Spread over the cabbage in the pan. Brown the ground beef in the same pan and spread over the rice/onion mixture. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Top with remaining cabbage. Mix water and spaghetti sauce in bowl then pour over the remaining ingredients. Top with bacon. Cook 30-40 minutes.

1 32 oz beef broth box (liquid)

1 16 oz can diced tomatoes

1 cup mushrooms

2 bay leaves

1 tsp dried basil 

2 tsp worcester sauce

1 cup chopped celery

1 cup diced carrots

1/2 cup barley

1/2 cup lentils

Ingredients:

2 pounds of ground beef

1 small onion diced

1 clove garlic diced

1/2 cup diced peppers

1 32 oz beef broth box (liquid)

1 16 oz can diced tomatoes

1 cup mushrooms

2 bay leaves

1 tsp dried basil 

2 tsp worcester sauce

1 cup chopped celery

1 cup diced carrots

1/2 cup barley

1/2 cup lentils

1 cup uncooked rice. 

3 cups water


In sauce pan brown the ground beef, onion, garlic, and peppers. In a large stock pot dump beef broth, tomatoes, mushrooms, bay leaves, celery, carrots & basil.  Cook on medium heat. When ground beef, peppers & onions are done add to the stock pot. Add 3 cups water with the lentils. Let these ingredients simmer for 1 -2 hours. 

30 miutes before serving add the 1/2 cup barley and rice. 

Serve with shredded cheese on top.

Ingredients:

 1 tablspoon butter

1 small onion chopped

1 pound ground beef

1 cup chopped green pepper

2 garlic cloves

1/2 tsp salt

1/4 cup black pepper

1 cup elbow macaroni cooked

1 16 oz can diced tomatoes

1 8 ounce can tomato sauce

1 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese


Preheat oven to 350 degrees

Spray 8 inch baking dish wit

A great twist to Mac & Cheese


Ingredients:

 1 tablspoon butter

1 small onion chopped

1 pound ground beef

1 cup chopped green pepper

2 garlic cloves

1/2 tsp salt

1/4 cup black pepper

1 cup elbow macaroni cooked

1 16 oz can diced tomatoes

1 8 ounce can tomato sauce

1 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese


Preheat oven to 350 degrees

Spray 8 inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.

Melt the butter, add onion and cook until tender. Add ground beef, bell pepper and garlic. Cook until meat is browned. Add salt and pepper.

Spread the cooked macaroni on the bottom of pan. Next spread the beef mixture over the macorni. Scatter the diced tomatoes & tomato sauce over the top. Sprinkle with cheese.

Bake for 30 minutes.
